Description
It is widely used in the production of pharmaceuticals and other organic compounds. Cyanamide was used as nitrogen source in thermal transformation of metal oxide nanoparticles into nanocrystalline metal nitrides. It was used in the synthesis of mesoporous graphitic C3N4. Cyanamide in aqueous solution or in the form of its calcium salt is used as a fertilizer in agriculture. It is a potent inhibitor of liver aldehyde dehydrogenases.
