Which Mouse BAC Libraries does Thermo Fisher Scientific offer, and how can you find specific gene within a BAC clone?

For Mouse BACs, we offer a CITB Mouse library and 2 BAC libraries from Roswell Park. Below are the details:

The CITB (California Institute of Technology BAC) Mouse BAC was constructed from the ES cell line/ CJ7/129Sv. The average insert size is 130 Kb. The clones for the Mouse BAC library were constructed with the pBeloBAC11 vector. This library consists of 612 384-well plates.

RPCI-22 Female Mouse BAC Library: The RPCI-22 (Roswell Park Cancer Institute) BAC (Bacterial Artificial Chromosome) Library is derived from female 129S6/SvEvTac (Taconic) mouse spleen genomic DNA. Average insert size is 155 Kb, with a maximum of 300 Kb.

RPCI-23 Female Mouse BAC Library: The RPCI-23 (Roswell Park Cancer Institute) BAC (Bacterial Artificial Chromosome) Library was constructed from pooled tissues derived from three female C57BL/6J mice. Average insert size is 197kb.

For help identifying RPCI -23 clones you can search the Mouse Screening Project for Mouse Marker/Clone Search at the following website: http://genomics.roswellpark.org/mouse/overview.html. This site can be used to retrieve clone or marker information from the Mouse Screening & Fingerprinting Project database. The search system allows the user to enter a particular clone or marker name. For locating a specific BAC clone you can also search literature, NCBI, the above websites and the Ensembl Genome Browser for more information.
