We recommend the following protocol to prepare 1 L of .1N Silver nitrate:
- Transfer the entire contents of the bottle into a 1 L volumetric flask.
- Rinse the bottle residue, the threads of the bottle, and the inner bottle cap with deionized water, and transfer to the 1 L flask.
- Repeat the step 2 rinse three times.
- Bring the 1 L flask to volume with deionized water and mix well. The final solution in the 1 L flask has a concentration of 0.1 N.
One unit of Silver nitrate, Acculute Standard Volumetric Solution is 150 mL. When you dilute the unit to 1 L, the final concentration will be 0.1000 N ± 0.0002 N.
