The PathHunter™ eXpress XBP1 Nuclear Translocation Assay measures IRE1-XBP1 pathway activation via nuclear translocation of XBP1. eXpress kits contain all assay materials: cells, reagents, and plates.

The PathHunter™ eXpress XBP1 Nuclear Translocation Assay provides an easy-to-use cell based assay to study drug candidates affecting the IRE1/XBP1 pathway. This kit assesses ligand (e.g. thapsigargin) based pathway activation via detection of resulting XBP1 nuclear translocation. This product uses EFC technology. The included cells overexpress PL-tagged XBP1 and nuclear localized EA. Upon pathway activation, induced nuclear translocation of XBP1 leads to production of EFC signal. eXpress kits are a convenient, ready-to-use format which contains all materials needed to run the assay, including single-use vials of cryopreserved cells, cell plating media, detection reagent, and assay plates.
