It can act as a catalyst used in superconducting materials, thermoelectric materials, sensing materials, glass and ceramics. It plays a vital role in photoconductive and photothermal applications. It is also used in ceramic resistors, magnetic storage media, gas sensors, near-infrared tilters, semiconductors, solar energy transformation and high-tech superconductors.
