Description

Ideal for removing protein contamination from the permeable diaphragm of pH electrodes. Pepsin-HCl Electrode Cleaning Solution, Reagecon™ is a solution of at least 1% pepsin A in 0.1M hydrochloric acid. Electrode elements should be soaked for approximately one hour.

Pepsin A is an enzyme that breaks down proteins into smaller peptides (a protease). It is produced naturally in the human digestive system and is produced commercially for use in laboratories and in the food industry.
