The Multidrop™ Pico Digital Dispensers offer enhanced dispensing precision with volumes as low as 8 pL, using up to ten times less reagent than manual pipetting, reducing costs and waste. Designed for assay miniaturization, they boost productivity and improve accuracy, ideal for qPCR, dose response curves, drug screening assays, and enzyme profiling. The intuitive Multidrop™ PicoIT software supports complex experimental setups, enhancing productivity and data integrity while conserving resources and improving operational efficiency.

  • Advanced Assay Miniaturization: Digital dispensing technology enables direct dilution and low dead volume with precise fluid delivery as low as 11 pL enabling up to 10-fold reduction in reagent and sample consumption.
  • Enhanced Workflow Efficiency and Sample Integrity: Non-contact disposable dispensing cartridges eliminate cross-contamination and carry-over. With a 40x increase in processing speed, typical dose experiments are completed in just 15 seconds, compared to 10 minutes with analog serial dilution. This minimizes manual pipetting steps and reduces the risk of repetitive strain injuries.
  • Intuitive Software: Multidrop™ PicoIT software provides flexible and intuitive experiment design capabilities for complex plate layouts. It supports sophisticated assay configurations while maintaining user-friendly operation through simplified setup procedures. Application-focused wizards and pre-programmed protocol templates for qPCR master mixes provide automated fluid customization for each qPCR component. Complete traceability functionality tracks reagent amounts and dispensing times for each well after every run.
  • Wide Range of Applications: The Multidrop™ Pico digital dispensers support a variety of fluid types, including master mixes, DMSO-based and aqueous fluids, with or without small molecule compounds or biomolecules. The Multidrop™ Pico 8 Surfactant Free (Pico 8 sf) can dispense aqueous fluids without surfactant using surfactant free cartridges. The digital dispensers automate complex protocols such as drug synergy/combination studies and multi-component titrations. They are ideal for applications including qPCR, drug combination studies, DMPK, assay development, biochemical assays, secondary screening, cell-based assays, spotting, enzyme profiling, synthetic biology, antibody therapies, and SAR.
  • Instrument Options and Capabilities: Choose between two instrument options: the Pico 1, which uses 1-channel cartridges, and the Pico 8 sf, which uses 4- or 8-channel cartridges. The Pico 8 sf is specifically designed for complex multi-reagent/sample assays in high-density formats up to 1536-well plates.
