The 10bp DNA Ladder consists of 33 ten base pair repeats. The double-stranded DNA ladder can be visualized on 4% to 5% agarose gels (for 10bp to 150bp fragments), 2% to 3% agarose gels (for 150bp to 330bp fragments), 2% to 3% Agarose 1000 gels, or 6% to 10% polyacrylamide gels after ethidium bromide staining. Because both DNA strands are of the same nucleotide composition, this product can be denatured to produce a set of single-stranded oligonucleotides increasing in length by 10-nucleotide increments. The single-stranded ladder can be visualized on a 6% urea-polyacrylamide gel after electrophoresis. For easy reference on agarose gels, the 100bp band is two to three times brighter than the other bands in the ladder. This ladder can be stained with ethidium bromide or SYBR™ Green dyes, or radiolabeled using T4 polynucleotide kinase. Compatible with agarose gels.
