Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (99%), Rat (99%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-54317 (PA5-54317. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
SCYL2 is a component of AP2-containing clathrin coated structures at the plasma membrane or of endocytic coated vesicles. SCYL2 is a probable serine/threonine-protein kinase that phosphorylates, in vitro, the beta2-subunit of the plasma membrane adapter complex AP2 and other proteins in presence of poly-L-lysine. SCYL2 may also regulate clathrin-dependent trafficking between the TGN and/or the endosomal system.
