Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (98%), Rat (98%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-111487 (PA5-111487. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

May function as a transcription factor with dual roles in transcription initiation and termination. Binds to two sites, ME1a1 and ME1a2, within the MYC promoter having greater affinity for the former. Also binds to multiple G/C-rich sites within the promoter of the Sp1 family of transcription factors. Regulates inflammation-induced expression of serum amyloid A proteins. [UniProt]
