Quantity:
100 μL
Unit Size:
100µL
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (89%), Rat (89%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-62458 (PA5-62458. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Hemicentin-1 (HMCN1), also known as fibulin-6 (FIBL-6), is an extracellular protein of the immunoglobulin superfamily. HMCN1 consists of a von Willebrand A domain, tandem immunoglobulin modules, tandem EGF modules, and a fibulin carboxy-terminal module. Mutations of HMCN1 gene may be associated with age-related macular degeneration. Three alternative transcripts encoding different HMCN1 isoforms have been described.
