Description
Description: This BB7.1 monoclonal antibody recognizes the human major histocompatibility complex MHC class I molecule HLA-B7, which is a member of the HLA-B family. MHC class I exists as a heterodimer composed of a specific alpha chain associated with a beta 2-microglobulin. MHC class I molecules are expressed on all nucleated cells. Applications Reported: This BB7.1 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Applications Tested: This BB7.1 antibody has been pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. This may be used at 5 μL (0.5 μg) per test. A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. Excitation: 488-561 nm; Emission: 578 nm; Laser: Blue Laser, Green Laser, Yellow-Green Laser
HLA-B7 is one of the polymorphic proteins of human MHC Class I found on all nucleated cells. This surface protein is a heterodimer consisting of the specific transmembrane HLA-B chain paired with Beta-2 microglobulin. Classical MHC Class I molecules play a central role in adaptive immunity by presenting to T cells antigenic peptides derived either from the cell itself (classical presentation) or extracellular antigens (cross-presentation). The ligands of MHC class I include T cell receptor (TCR) and a costimulatory molecule CD8. Hundreds of HLA-B alleles have been described. Typing for these polymorphisms is routinely done for transplantation. HLA and MHC antibodies play a significant role in Immunopeptidomics, facilitating the identification and characterization of neoantigens through high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem Mass Spectrometry.Specifications
