Square membrane filter, graduated funnel and receiver of clear polystyrene; polyethylene neck adapter and plug cap (supplied sterile and individually packaged).

Vacuum filtration systems use a square filter membrane support system that increases filtration rates with printed funnels to identify membrane type and product number. The system consists of a polystyrene filter funnel joined by an adapter ring to a removable polystyrene storage bottle with a separate sterile polyethylene cap.

  • Funnel contains 79 x 79 mm square membrate filter with a capacity of either 500 mL or 1000 mL
  • Receiver easily unscrews from unit and can be sealed with a plug cap for filtrate storag
  • Low liquid retention funnel design
  • Filters feature printing on the funnel for easy product identification
  • Angled hose connector simplifies vacuum line attachment
  • Receiver bottles feature easy grip sides for improved handling
  • Extra plastic storage bottles are available
  • Prefilters must be ordered separately

  • Radiation sterilized and certified nonpyrogenic
  • Caps for receiver bottles are sterile and individually packaged
  • Units are color coded by membrane type and labeled with both membrane material and pore size
  • All membrane types are tissue culture compatible, and heat-sealed to the support grid to maximize flowrate, and reduce foaming and protein denaturization
  • Cellulose Acetate (CA) membrane for low protein binding
  • Nylon membrane for low extractables
  • Cellulose nitrate (CN) for general-purpose filtration
  • Polyethersulfone (PES) for fast flowrates and low protein binding
  • Nylon, Cellulose Nitrate and Polyetersulfone (PES) membranes are detergent-free
