Pre-enrich food samples prior to the isolation of Salmonella species with this non-selective medium while adhering to ISO 11133:2014

Pre-enrich food samples prior to the isolation of Salmonella species using Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Buffered Peptone Water (ISO) (Dehydrated). Buffered Peptone Water is a non-selective pre-enrichment medium and is tested in accordance with ISO 65791 and ISO 11133:20142. It also provides conditions for resuscitation of cells that have been injured by processes of food preservation.

  • Pre-enrich food samples prior to isolation of Salmonella species
  • Allow high resuscitation of sub-lethally injured cells with medium
    • Low numbers and/or sub-lethally injured Salmonella spp. cells that may be in test food sample
  • Supports high growth and recovery rate, rich in nutrients
  • Prevents bacterial damage due to changes in medium pH
