Description

Also called emerald green or malachite green. Brilliant Green, MP Biomedicals is one of the triarylmethane dyes of the malachite-green series. It occurs as small, shiny, golden crystals soluble in water or alcohol.

Brilliant green is used in dilute solution as a topical antiseptic. It is effective against gram-positive microorganisms. It has also been used to dye silk and wool.
