PEP-039 is a 13 amino acid synthetic peptide whose sequence corresponds to cytoplasmic domain amino acid residues 400-411 of rat LAMP-2 protein. This sequence is completely conserved between rat, mouse, and guinea pig LAMP-2. The sequence of this peptide is (amino to carboxy terminus): (C)-G400-L-K-R-H-H-T-G-Y-E-Q-F411 (A cysteine residue was added to facilitate coupling KLH).This peptide may be used for neutralization and control experiments with the polyclonal antibody that reacts with this product and rat LAMP-2, catalog # PA1-655. Using a solution with equal weights per unit volume of peptide and corresponding antibody will yield a solution with a large molar excess of peptide that is able to competitively bind the antibody.Reconstitute with 0.1 ml of distilled water.
