DescriptionCell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE. Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC. Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered. CXCR2 is a receptor for interleukin-8, which is a powerful neutrophil chemotactic factor. It is a member of the GPCR family. Binding of IL-8 to the receptor causes activation of neutrophils. This response is mediated via a G-protein that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. This receptor binds to IL-8 with a high affinity and to GRO/MGSA and NAP-2 also with a high affinity. It has been reported to be expressed in a wide variety of tissues. ESTs have been isolated from human placenta and thymus libraries.
